Adding Your Store
Add your first store and configure which monitoring features to enable.
Adding Your Store
Adding a store to Cassian™ takes about two minutes. You'll enter your store URL, select your platform, and then land on the Setup page where you can configure exactly which features Cassian should monitor.
Steps
Open the Sites page
Click Sites in the left sidebar. If this is your first store, you'll see an empty state with an "Add store" button. If you already have stores, the button appears in the top-right corner of the page.
Enter your store URL
Paste in your store's public URL — the address your customers use. For example: https://yourstore.com. Cassian uses this to crawl your storefront.
Select your platform
Choose Shopify from the platform dropdown. Support for WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, and Medusa is on the roadmap.
Cassian's scan engine is platform-agnostic — it crawls your storefront URL regardless of what's powering it. The platform selection tells Cassian which platform-specific connector features to make available (like the Shopify integration for order data and translation checks).
Configure your store on the Setup page
After entering your URL and platform, you're taken directly to the Setup page. This is where you tell Cassian what to monitor and how your store is structured.
The Setup page
The Setup page has two sections: Feature Toggles and Language Configuration. Both can be changed later in Site Settings.
Feature toggles
All features that your plan supports are turned on by default. You can turn any of them off if you don't need them yet.
| Feature | What it does | Minimum tier |
|---|---|---|
| Cassian Shield™ security scanning | Passive security vulnerability scanning — checks for common web vulnerabilities, outdated libraries, missing security headers | Analyst |
| Link Checker | Finds broken links across your store pages — internal and external, flagged by HTTP status | Analyst |
| PageSpeed monitoring | Daily Google Lighthouse scores for performance, accessibility, best practices, and SEO — mobile and desktop | All tiers |
| Uptime monitoring (Cassian Sentinel™) | Checks your store is responding every 5 minutes. Alerts you if it goes down — or even slows down. Monitors SSL certificate and domain expiry too. | Protector |
| Order Pulse | Hourly monitoring of your order volume. Detects sudden drops or sustained declines and alerts you before they become serious. | Inspector (critical only) / Analyst (full) |
| AI Product Feeds | Generates and hosts AI-ready product feeds for AI shopping assistants and search engines — updated daily. | Analyst |
Features grayed out on the Setup page require a higher plan. You can enable them later by upgrading in Settings → Billing.
Language configuration
Cassian uses language settings to power its translation quality checks. Getting this right ensures your Cassian Score™ accurately reflects your store's multilingual health.
Primary language — the main language your store is written in. This is the reference language Cassian uses for content quality checks. Select the language that the majority of your product descriptions, page content, and navigation are written in.
Translation monitoring — if your store sells in more than one language, enable this toggle and select every language you want Cassian to check. Cassian will compare the quality and completeness of translated content against your primary language.
If you connect Shopify (recommended), Cassian auto-detects your store's configured languages and updates these settings automatically. Your manual settings always take precedence over the auto-detected values if you've made changes.
Issue detail level
The issue detail level controls how many findings Cassian shows you in the dashboard. Choose the level that matches how you want to work:
| Level | What you see |
|---|---|
| Essentials | Critical and High severity issues only. Best for busy store owners who want to focus on what matters most. |
| Balanced | Critical, High, and Medium severity issues. A good middle ground. |
| Everything | All issues, including Low severity suggestions. Best for developers and agencies doing a full audit. |
New sites default to Essentials. This is a display-only setting — it does not affect your Cassian Score, the scan pipeline, or notifications. All issues are still detected and scored regardless of your detail level. You can change it at any time from Sites → [your store] → Settings, or directly from the scan detail and Issues pages.
If your detail level is hiding issues, you'll see a subtle banner on the Issues and scan pages letting you know there are additional findings at a lower severity level.
Starting monitoring
Once you're happy with your settings, click "Start monitoring." This triggers your first scan immediately. You'll be redirected to your dashboard, where the scan results will appear in real time as the scan completes.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add multiple stores?
Yes. All Cassian plans support multiple sites. Additional sites cost $15 per month each, regardless of which plan you're on. The exception is the Agency tier, which has its own per-site pricing — see Agency & Enterprise.
To add another store, go to Sites → Add store at any time.
What if my platform isn't listed?
Today Cassian supports Shopify as a connected platform. WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, and Medusa support is planned. If your platform isn't available yet, you can still add your store URL and receive scanning, scoring, and monitoring — the platform-specific connector features (like order data and translation syncing) simply won't be available until that connector is built.
Can I change language settings later?
Yes. Go to Sites → [your store] → Settings and update your language configuration at any time. Changes take effect on the next scan.
What does "primary language" mean?
It's the language your store's main content is written in. If you run an English-language store that's also translated into French and Spanish, your primary language is English. Cassian uses the primary language as the quality benchmark — translation checks compare all other languages against it.
What if I made a mistake in the setup?
Everything on the Setup page can be changed from Sites → [your store] → Settings. Nothing is permanent — toggle features on or off, change your language settings, or update your store URL at any time.

With your store added, connect your Shopify account to unlock deeper analysis — or skip ahead to run your first scan if you'd rather start with the storefront-only data.
