Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 1, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Cassian™ is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

2. What We Do

To meet our accessibility goals, Cassian follows these practices:

  • Semantic HTML. We use proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, lists, and form labels so assistive technologies can interpret our pages correctly.
  • Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable and operable using a keyboard. Focus indicators are visible throughout the application.
  • Colour contrast. Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
  • Screen reader support. We use ARIA attributes where necessary and test with common screen readers to ensure content is announced correctly.
  • Responsive design. The platform adapts to different screen sizes and supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Motion preferences. Animations are reduced or disabled when the user has enabled prefers-reduced-motion in their operating system.

3. Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas may have limitations:

  • Data visualisations. Charts, sparklines, and the Cassian Score™ ring use SVG graphics. We provide text alternatives and data tables where feasible, but complex visualisations may not be fully accessible to all assistive technologies.
  • Third-party integrations. Some third-party content (Stripe checkout, embedded widgets) may not fully meet our accessibility standards. We work with vendors who share our commitment to accessibility.
  • PDF reports. Generated PDF reports may not be fully accessible. We recommend using the web-based dashboard for the best accessible experience.

We are actively working to identify and resolve accessibility issues. When we discover a limitation, we prioritise a fix based on impact.

4. Standards & Regulations

Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following standards and regulations:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA — World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
  • European Accessibility Act (EAA) — EU Directive 2019/882, effective June 2025
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — Title III, as applied to web services
  • New Zealand Web Accessibility Standard — NZ Government Web Standards

5. Feedback & Assistance
